Dummy Book

Below are some example cover images showing 3 styles and layouts as well as some different font styles. I have also come up with a new cover image that won’t give away to much of the books contents. Aiden is the main character so I wanted him larger on the front cover and instead of revealing all the animals at once I choose the polar bear because of the large frame he creates. I also found viewing it from a distance and the thumbnail of this cover image much stronger than the other design as it showcases the main elements of the book; winter, Aiden and a helpful polar bear embarking on a grand adventure.

Below is a quick fun piece I drew before the final outfit choice. I painted this one with watercolor showing the current colors and one of the styles for the book. Thought I just share this one! It’s cold out so I gave him rosy cheeks.

Here are a few color sheets with a variety of combinations for the winter outfit. Currently I’m going with the orange toque, blue coat, green & yellow stripe scarf, dark blue gloves and medium brown for the boots.
